ROTARY CLUB OF OAK FOREST, ILLINOIS

Representatives from the Oak Forest Rotary Club presented 4-Way Test Awards to a number of local students over the past few weeks. 

Rotary is an organization of business and professional men and women united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

The 4-Way Test is a primary foundation of Rotary.  It is used around the world in business, government, schools and homes as an effective ethics measuring stick.  The Test reads: Of the things we think, say and do: 1. Is it the Truth?  2. Is it fair to all concerned?  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

The Oak Forest Rotary Club’s 4-Way Test Award program began in 1987.  The Club presents the Award annually to a boy and a girl from local elementary and middle schools.  The winners are recognized for demonstrating good behavior and exhibiting a strong moral character.  The medallion awards are presented to the students at their school’s awards assembly or graduation ceremony.

This year’s winners are: Alexis Koronkiewicz and Jacob Lugo from Arbor Park Middle School; Michelle Stryszowska and Antonio Rodriguez from Fierke Education Center; Tamara Pattie and Ethan Barranca from Lee R. Foster School; Jenna Beardsley and Eric Niewinski from Hille Middle School; Christina Majercak and Benjamin Nielsen from Kerkstra Elementary School; Madelena Tancredi and Jacob Stocks from Scarlet Oak School; Paige Manso and John Michael Aquino from St. Damian School.
