Despite statewide stay-at-home order, incredible student volunteers step up!
These are amazing student volunteers!  Oak Forest Rotary Scholarship Committee was honored to interview each of them tonight.  We deliberated late into the night.  ALL of these students display incredible Service Above Self in their lives and their communities.  They also took the initiative to get their applications in, when schools were closed and Seniors were dealing with online learning, adjusting to the stay at home order, and finding those special rights of passage for Seniors gone.  They interviewed with us by video conference tonight.  And tomorrow morning, three $1,000 scholarships will be announced.  Good luck to all of you!  The Oak Forest Rotary Club is SO proud of you.  Thank you for demonstrating Rotary's values of Service Above Self and helping make this world a better place.  YOU are the good in this world.  Listed in alphabetical order with high school: Seth Albin (OFHS), Julia Bockstahler (Victor J Andrew), Luke Holewa (OFHS), Kevin Ivins (OFHS), Jovita Johnson (Tinley Park High School), Shaylynn Krause (Bremen), John McLelland (Tinley Park High School), and Abigail Van Wyk (Chicago Christian)
