Immediate Past President Dr. Tom Halwax could be heard saying "We can be proud of the good work our Interact Clubs are doing".  That sentiment was echoed by Treasurer Dorothy Kennedy who exclaimed, "Interact may be doing more than our club!".

On Tuesday September 27, 2001 Club Service Chairman Tom Hoogland awarded the co Presidents of the Oak Forest Interat Club, Kathy Wanatowicz and Matt McKeown their club banner.  Oak Forest High School Interact has about 100 members and each member is asked to to 10 hrs of service each semester. The hours can be either through the school or in the community.

 Some of the Events Interact is Involved in is:

1. Help out in the Hospitals

2. Relay for Life Team

3. Operation Christmas Child  ( We make care packages for needy children around the world)

4. Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Luncheon

5. Operation Treasure Chest ( We buy toys for children in hospital going through cancer treatments. Last year, we raised  4000 toys)

6. Senior Citizen  Valentine Dinner and Dance ( We make dinner for over 300 Senior citizens and provide entertainment along with many door prizes and each senior goes home with a meal)

7. Visit and Carol at the retirement homes

8. Assist at the Rotary Club Blood Drive

9. Assist at the Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast

10. Help Early Act Middle School students to send food packages to Africa
